BBC Studios Worldwide and Sea Fever Productions have signed an agreement for BBC to distribute our landmark project North Atlantic – The Dark Ocean globally to TV, media and theatrical platforms.
At time of writing agreements have already been reached with broadcasters, airlines and streamers in more than 30 countries.
North Atlantic is a hugely ambitious natural history project combining Blue chip quality natural history with creative, cinematic storytelling. It has multiple powerful conservation threads, the darkness of episode one symbolising the damage we caused to the ocean through our ignorance, by episode three titled ‘Into the Light’, we see how education and awareness has driven our response conservation responses.
North Atlantic featured in many of the worlds top natural history film festivals winning the Grand Prix – Best Film of festival in Rotterdam in November 2023.
